Visit three heritage location across Belfast and the Maritime Mile to unlock immersive augmented reality stories, filmed using cutting edge 3D film technology. Each story is told by the person themselves, and so is authentic and personal. Simply scan the QR code at each location and enjoy a part of the rich history of the city.
Start at the important heritage site Templemore Baths in East Belfast, hear from Ronnie Jones, a swimmer who trained at the baths and represented Ireland at the 1958 Commonwealth Games. Then, continue your journey to Bridge’s Family Practice on the lower Newtownards Road where Catherine Roberts will describe the effect that the troubles had on day-to-day life in the area. Finally, visit the magnificent Titanic Hotel where artist and former Harland and Wolff employee Colin H Davidson shares how he went from building ships to capturing the harbour through his art, which is on display in the Drawing Rooms of the Titanic Hotel.
